Breed: Any spaniel breed Hosted by Alice Trainer: Ryan & Alison Kay (Farlavale Gundogs) Location: Moor monkton (York/harrogate) 29/09/2024 9am - 1pm PLEASE NOTE this is a ladies only event. Pre season spaniel training day with Ryan and Alison of Farlavale Gundogs. This day is all about preparing you for the season ahead. It will focus on hunting and steadiness and will include shot. Throughout the day we will do a simulated beating line. Arrive from 9:00am for a 9:30 start to end at 1pm. We will have a short break in the middle for elevenses. Dogs must have some sort of hunting pattern and be familiar with a stop whistle. This session will be taken by Ryan and Alison Kay of Farlavale Gundogs. They have extensive experience in working, training and breeding gundogs. During the season both compete successfully in Field trials, and work their dogs on shoots throughout Yorkshire. Ryan is a KCAI (Kennel Club Accredited Instructor) in Working Gundog training – one of only 8 in the country. Alison is currently working towards this qualification also. Ryan is also a Kennel Club Field Trial judge for Spaniels, and Gundog correspondent for Sporting Gun magazine and Shooting Times magazine. Ryan and Alison specialise in spaniels and use positive reward based methods in all their training. They aim to equip the handler with the skills, knowledge and techniques to build a truly effective partnership with their dog.

Ts & Cs The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD is the organiser of the event. The following terms are in the best interests of all Handlers, dogs, trainers, land owners and spectators. By registering for any events hosted by The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD , handlers agree to the following terms and conditions, and agree that they are 18 years of age or older on the date of the event booked and are competent to contract in their own name; that they have read the following and fully understand the contents, meanings and impact of these terms; that they understand that they are free to address any specific questions regarding these terms in writing, prior to registration, and agree that failure to do so will be interpreted as a free and knowledgeable acceptance of the terms and conditions. The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and commits to informing any registered Handlers for future events of such changes. Handlers will have 14 calendar days to raise any concerns with such changes in writing to The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD. Events: At time of booking, the handler must fully assess whether they and their dog are capable of all criteria set for the event. This criteria is set not just by The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD but also with the trainer. This will ensure that the handler and other handlers taking part in the event get the most out of the session. The Girls with Gundogs Club does not accept liability for any dog or individual in attendance at an event. The Girls with Gundogs Club cannot accept responsibility of any injury, loss or damage to person, dog or property that occurs whilst attending an event. Spectators are allowed at events organised by The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD. Handlers must contact The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD if they wish to bring a spectator to the event, this will incur a fixed cost of £5 which will be invoiced separately to booking. The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD reserves the right to refuse spectators with reasonable cause, as defined by The Girls with Gundogs Club LTD, from an event. Bitches in season, unwell or aggressive dogs are unable to attend any events. Cancellation policy. Please note that your payment is non-refundable once your place is booked.
